Meditation Monday: Chakra Tune-Up

Now that the semester is underway, the stress and tension of deadlines may be beginning to creep up on you. Master your stress now, before your routine really gets out of whack, and come midterms & finals, you'll have a deeper understanding and awareness of your mind and body.

There are 7 centers of flowing life energy in our bodies called chakras. Stress and other negative energies arise when these centers are misaligned. Religious beliefs and practices have nothing to do with these life energies. We are spiritual beings made of pure energy. Connect with your true inner self and listen to what its trying to tell you. As cheesy as it may sound, the answers truly do lie deep within.

The physical and mental self are not separate. The health of one affects the health of the other. You can learn more about chakras in detail here.  Each center has a specific color & it controls the energy surrounding different parts of your body.
